MM2H Application and Procedures

Applicants can complete all the application procedures themselves (look under places of application). The applicants do not have to be in Malaysia to make initial application and in this case a letter of conditional approval will be issued pending the applicant producing evidence of making the Fixed Deposit and obtaining medical insurance.

Alternatively, applicant may engage an agent with the application and approval. The agents will also drive the successful applicants to the immigration to collect the visa and stamp in the passport.

List of Documents

Applicants are required to submit the following documents: -

  1. Letter of Application
  2. 2 copies of IM.12 (Form of Social Visit Pass) – downloadable from www.mm2h.com)
  3. 2 passport sized photographs of applicant & spouse
  4. Certified true copies of all pages of passport travel document of the applicant & spouse
  5. Certified true copy of Marriage Certificate (if with spouse)
  6. Certified true copy of children’s birth certificate (if relevant)
  7. Employment resume for the last 10 years
  8. Evidence of placing fixed deposit
  9. Malaysian medical insurance
  10. Medical report

Fee Rate

RM90.00 per year is charged for the issuance of Social Visit Pass. Visa charges are according to the existing rate applicable to each country.

Approval

Under normal circumstances, applications, which fulfill the required criteria, will be processed and approved within 30 working days (about 6 weeks) after submission of the application.

Extension of Social Visit Pass

  • Form IMM.55
  • Form IMM.38
  • Latest certified Financial Statement from the local bank or Financial Institution
  • Original Passport / Travel Document

Note: The above documents are also needed when applying the balance of the first 10-year visa when it is issued for less than 10 years due to remaining passport validity was less than 10 years.
